Where this started.
We didn't start as a tech company. We started as contractors who got tired of wasting time on things a computer should handle.
Johann runs construction and trades businesses on Vancouver Island — HandyPeople and HardHeads. When the off-the-shelf software didn't fit, he built his own. The CRM, the AI email system, the websites, the phone routing. All of it. Every tool SCS offers was built and tested inside a real company before it was ever offered to anyone else.
This is not a tech person guessing what contractors need. This is a contractor who taught himself to build technology because the off-the-shelf options didn't work.
The problems we solve — lost mornings sorting email, quotes that fall through the cracks, crews that don't get the right information — we've had every one of them. The tools we build came out of fixing our own business first.
The team.
Right now, SCS is Johann plus a network of specialists brought in as needed. That's honest, and it's intentional.
You're not paying for a bench of people sitting around waiting for work. When your project needs a specialist — a developer, a designer, an integrations expert — we bring in the right person. You pay for exactly the help you need, and nothing else.
As SCS grows, people will be added here. For now, you're working directly with the person who built every system from the ground up. That means faster decisions, no telephone game, and someone who actually understands what's under the hood.
